18 September 2018 the Ukrainian Wind Energy signed a Memorandum of partnership and cooperation with the Office of the National Investment Council of Ukraine.
The Office of the National Investment Council of Ukraine and the UWEA have agreed to work together on reforming the renewable energy sector, to exchange information and experience, develop partnerships with RES representatives in other countries, jointly contribute to the development of alternative energy in Ukraine, and ensure that investors have all the information needed and can rely on support and assistance in implementation of their projects in Ukraine.
Foreign companies, including investors, EPC contractors, and manufacturers of RE equipment have recently shown a strong interest in solar and wind sectors of Ukraine. “Such an active interest is explained by attractive RE legislation in Ukraine, high rate of “green” tariffs and sufficient renewable energy potential for the development and construction of large-scale solar and wind power plants”, said Andriy Konechenkov, Chairman of the UWEA Board, Vice President of the WWEA. “At the same time, real foreign investors Ukraine very carefully”.
