On 29 October 2018 installation of the first wind turbine V 136 with unit capacity of 3, 6 MW was completed at the Overyanovska wind farm. The project is realised by a company Vindkraft Ukraina in the southern part of Kherson region of Ukraine.
This modern wind turbine of the Danish origin has the largest rotor diameter among wind turbines ever installed in Ukraine - 136 m, while the length of each blade is 66,7 m.
A total of 19 such “giants” will be installed at the Overyanovska Wind Farm. 266 million kWh of environmentally sound electricity is expected to be generated, which is enough to supply 44 300 households with electricity. In addition, 264 thousand tons of CO2 emission will be saved due to “green” electricity generation.
“It is remarkable that it was our company – Vindkraft Ukraina - which, in nowadays faraway 2011, installed the first 3 MW class wind turbine in Ukraine. Yesterday we installed a wind turbine with the largest rotor diameter in Ukraine to date, thus adding another record to our company's history”, commented Carl Sturen, Managing Director of the company.
