The aim of the meeting was to strengthen strategic coordination, align the directions of activity and define the key priorities for the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The meeting was opened by UWEA Board Chairman&nbsp;<strong>Andriy Konechenkov<\/strong>, who noted that today it is important not only to shape a vision of the industry&#8217;s future, but also to respond more actively and systematically to pressing market challenges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><em>&#8220;We have gathered today to openly talk through both the strategic tasks and the existing barriers, the successes and the lessons that the wind energy sector has learned over the year. Our goal is to synchronise our efforts so that 2026 becomes a year of purposeful decisions and confident market growth&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/uwea.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/2-1-edited.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8044\" srcset=\"https:\/\/uwea.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/2-1-edited.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/uwea.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/2-1-edited-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/uwea.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/2-1-edited-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/uwea.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/2-1-edited-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Mr Konechenkov also reported that, according to UWEA&#8217;s calculations, 37 member companies of the association are currently actively implementing projects to build wind farms and energy storage facilities, which testifies to the scale and the diversification of roles in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The Head of the Committee on Legal Affairs,&nbsp;<strong>Olha Savchenko<\/strong>,&nbsp;presented the results of its activity for 2025, in particular: the examination of a number of legislative initiatives; participation in consultations with the authorities; and the formation of legal positions on key market issues. Ms Savchenko emphasised the Committee&#8217;s strategic approach:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><em>&#8220;We do not intend to fight the regulatory environment &#8211; we strive to create it&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/uwea.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/4-1-1-edited.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8046\" srcset=\"https:\/\/uwea.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/4-1-1-edited.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/uwea.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/4-1-1-edited-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/uwea.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/4-1-1-edited-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/uwea.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/4-1-1-edited-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><strong>Ihor Retivov<\/strong>, head of the Committee on the Development of Energy Storage, for his part, also presented the results of his Committee team&#8217;s work in creating an attractive market environment for energy storage activities. Continuing his presentation, UWEA Secretariat analyst&nbsp;<strong>Yevhenii Kontorshchykov<\/strong>&nbsp;presented the results of a survey of member companies, according to which 33.3% of the surveyed companies already have installed energy storage facilities, while more and more companies are declaring their plans to invest in this technology over the coming years. These data testify to the rapid emergence of the energy storage market as an integral part of Ukraine&#8217;s modern energy system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Participants in the meeting also discussed in detail the sector&#8217;s priority legislative and regulatory initiatives, as well as the mechanisms of internal interaction for more effective work at all levels. Special attention was paid to the barriers that are holding back the development of projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">As part of the final section of the meeting, the participants discussed the Association&#8217;s priorities for the coming year, namely:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>participation in international events that shape global policy in the field of renewables, in particular wind energy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>strengthening cooperation with European partners;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>intensifying advocacy (lobbying) activities in Ukraine;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>preparing the Second Ukrainian Wind Energy Forum, which will become the sector&#8217;s key event in 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The joint meeting confirmed the readiness of the Association&#8217;s members to continue working in sync, professionally and strategically.
