Innovation and Sustainability Arrive in Bucharest at the Country’s Largest Exhibition for Green Technologies and Solutions

GREEN ENERGY EXPO, ROMENVIROTEC, and the new URBAN SMART EXPO concept together create Romania’s most comprehensive platform dedicated to smart sustainability technologies and solutions. As the country’s largest green exhibition, it will take place April 9-11 at Romexpo, featuring innovations in renewable energy (solar, wind), smart waste collection, sorting, and recycling, water and air purification, energy efficiency, digitized public services, and the smart transformation of urban life.

The exhibition will feature over 500 brands, dozens of events, and the participation of leading local and international organizations. A strong international presence is ensured by national pavilions, with China playing a key role in showcasing major renewable energy solutions.

The 2025 Edition Will Focus on Three Main Sectors:

1. GREEN ENERGY EXPO

• Primarily focused on solar energy technologies, featuring:
  • Solar modules (PV), inverters, batteries, storage systems, e-mobility, mounting and optimization systems, energy efficiency solutions, and accessories.
  • Also covering wind energy, geothermal energy, bioenergy, hydrogen solutions, and energy efficiency technologies.
• April 10: ENERGY DAY – A conference series organized with Energynomics, tackling key public agenda topics: energy pricing, electric mobility, energy storage solutions, green energy for self-consumption, and building energy sustainability.

2. ROMENVIROTEC

• Dedicated to environmental protection solutions:
  • Waste collection, sorting, and recycling equipment (waste collection vehicles, smart collection stations, sorting and recycling solutions, street cleaning, hazardous waste management).
  • Innovations in water management: analysis and laboratory technologies, water supply and sewage systems, pumps, pipelines, water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Key events:
  • International Forum on Environment and Energy (organized by FADI and Infomediu Europa) – with government representatives from the Ministries of Economy, Environment, and Energy.
  • International Conference on Water and Wastewater Challenges in Romania – featuring workshops and roundtables led by APPFE and FADIDA, presenting successful projects and investment opportunities.
  • For the first time in Romania, ISWA (International Solid Waste Association) will have a meeting point for networking between professionals and top executives.

3. URBAN SMART EXPO

• Featuring a demo zone with prototypes of future technology.
• Event series organized with the Romanian Smart City Association, covering:
  • Urban mobility, smart infrastructure, intelligent lighting, connectivity, smart living, security, governance, digital services, urban inclusion.
• April 10: Congress of Mayors and Local Administration + Sustainability Awards Gala – a networking and recognition event for leaders shaping Romania’s sustainable future.
