Mission and Vision

THE UKRAINIAN WIND ENERGY ASSOCIATION (UWEA) is the largest non-profit professional association in the field of renewable energy in Ukraine, serving as the main platform for communication and cooperation for the large-scale implementation of wind energy technologies and further promotion of the green transformation of Ukraine’s entire energy system and its post-war recovery based on clean energy sources and sustainable development.

UWEA Mission

To ensure the green transformation of Ukraine’s unified energy system and its post-war recovery based on renewable energy sources and sustainable development.

We promote the implementation of national and international strategies aimed at large-scale deployment of wind energy technologies, renewable energy sources, and distributed generation in Ukraine, and the integration of our country into the European energy space through active participation in shaping state policy, cooperation with international partners, raising public awareness, and promoting clean technologies among the population.

We work to make wind energy a key tool for post-war recovery, energy independence, and climate neutrality of Ukraine.

Our Vision

We are a public union and a non-profit organization dynamically advancing the promotion of wind energy technologies and protecting the interests of the wind energy sector at both national and international levels. We believe that the accelerated deployment of wind energy is not only an economic necessity, but also a moral responsibility toward future generations for the sake of a clean environment, sustainable development, and Ukraine’s energy freedom.

Our Objectives

To promote the large-scale development of Ukraine's wind energy market and the integration of the sector into the European energy space.
To promote the implementation of national energy policy and initiatives aimed at accelerating the deployment of wind energy and other clean technologies in the country.
To promote the development of Ukraine's innovative potential, the use and implementation of leading global wind energy technologies in Ukraine.
To promote the development of distributed generation in Ukraine, with a focus on local communities.
To promote the development and implementation of energy storage systems in Ukraine.
To promote the attraction of domestic and international investments in Ukraine's wind energy sector.
To identify legislative, administrative, and technical barriers hindering the development of wind energy in Ukraine, and to initiate the preparation and implementation of solutions to eliminate them.
To popularize renewable energy, particularly wind energy, among the population.
To promote the development of the educational environment and the training of future specialists in the field of wind energy.
To provide objective, reliable, and professional information about the modern wind energy industry in Ukraine and worldwide.
To support and develop close cooperation with global and European industry associations and organizations.
