Güriş İnşaat ve Mühendislik A.Ş. (hereinafter – “Güriş”) was created in 1958 and remains a family business.
Güriş actively develops its business in Turkey, the Middle East, Central Asia, the Commonwealth of Independent States and North African countries and implements turnkey projects in a wide range of every field of the construction sector. Güriş has nearly 20 affiliates and around 7000 personnel; all branches are integrated into Güriş Holding Co. Inc.
At the beginning of business activity, Güriş Group specialized in the construction of hydroelectric and thermal power plants and commissioned a large power projects with a total installed capacity of almost 1700 MW. Since the beginning of 2000, Güriş has shifted to the investments in the construction and operation of its own renewable energy facilities. The company has already constructed and now operates an 88 MW hydro power plants, a 207 MW geothermal power plants and a 540 MW wind power plants. Also, Güriş constructs an additional 50 MW of geothermal power plants and develops a 220 MW of wind power plants all over the world.
On May 1, 2019, the company commissioned the wind power plant “Ovid Wind” with installed capacity of 30 MW, located in Ovidiopolsky district of Odessa region. The second WPP “Ovid North”, with a total capacity of 66 MW, is under development and will put into operation by the end of 2021.
