JSC “Energy Company of Ukraine” (ECU) is a state-owned energy trading company, engaged in operations related to the purchase, sale, and supply of energy resources to commercial clients. ECU operates in both domestic and foreign energy resource markets.
ECU is managing a portfolio of electricity sales from leading renewable energy producers and is currently among the TOP 3 green energy traders on the free market in Ukraine. ECU offers a comprehensive proposal for renewable energy producers, which allows for direct access to the competitive energy market in Ukraine, optimize imbalances and overall stabilize their economic models. The offer includes a guaranteed off-take of electricity according to the forecasted schedule and market prices, as well as balancing services in ECU’s balancing group. One-stop sales and optimization solution for the green energy producers eliminates the need to create and operate own trading capabilities.
ECU is also the founder of the balancing group of electricity market participants, which is the second in the country by its volumes. The country’s largest electricity producer, “Energoatom”, green energy producers and large customers has joined this balancing group.
ECU manages a portfolio of electricity supplies for leading companies of Ukraine, both state-owned and private. To ensure the stable supplies in case of energy shortage, ECU has contracts for electricity import from Europe.
