UWEA BOARD MEETING: Q3 RESULTS AND KEY ADMINISTRATIVE UPDATES

On October 21, 2025, the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA) held an online Board meeting chaired by Andriy Konechenkov, Chairman of the Board. During the meeting, participants reviewed the Association’s performance over the year and, in particular, its results in the third quarter of 2025, identified key priorities for the wind sector’s development, and outlined UWEA’s future plans in the context of ongoing challenges facing Ukraine’s energy market.

The Chairman noted that 35 new members joined UWEA in 2025, representing various segments of the wind energy value chain. “The growing number of members and new partners demonstrates the sector’s resilience and lasting appeal,” emphasized Andriy Konechenkov. “Even under the challenging conditions of war, the market not only remains active but continues to expand, driven by growing interest from non-core investors who view renewable energy as a promising path for Ukraine’s sustainable recovery.”

Statutory Updates and Institutional Strengthening

One of the key outcomes of the third quarter was the amendment of UWEA’s Statute, which officially extends the Association’s scope of activities to include the energy storage segment. This is a strategic step, as the integration of wind generation and storage technologies defines the future of resilient and flexible energy systems.

The updated Statute also incorporates the provisions of Law No. 3606-IX “On Lobbying”, reinforcing UWEA’s commitment to transparent, responsible, and ethical advocacy on behalf of the wind energy sector.

In parallel, UWEA is finalizing its updated Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, which will serve as a practical framework for promoting corporate culture, integrity, and responsible partnership among its members — in line with the renewed Statute.

Leadership Changes within the Board

As part of the meeting, the Board conducted its scheduled election of the First Deputy Chairman, which takes place every two years.

Ivan Bondarchuk, UWEA Board Member representing LCF, was elected to the position, succeeding Oleksandr Podprugin, Board Member from Notus Energy.

UWEA extends its deep appreciation to Oleksandr Podprugin for his years of active contribution, support of joint initiatives, and dedication to the Association’s growth!

We wish Ivan Bondarchuk every success, inspiration, and fruitful collaboration in strengthening UWEA’s role both in Ukraine and internationally!

Shared Challenges — Collective Action

Representatives of leading market players serving on the UWEA Board shared updates on their operations, outlined current challenges affecting project implementation, and discussed ways to address them collaboratively.

Despite ongoing difficulties, the Ukrainian wind sector continues to demonstrate resilience, professionalism, and faith in the country’s renewable future.

Member companies are advancing projects, expanding portfolios, exploring new business models, and forming innovative partnerships that sustain momentum even in wartime conditions.

UWEA sincerely thanks all its members for their trust, activity, and unwavering commitment. Together, we are shaping a future where the wind becomes a symbol of recovery, vitality, and resilience for Ukraine!
