For two days – 14 -15 November 2023, – Warsaw, Poland, hosted the second international exhibition & conference “ReBuild Ukraine powered by energy”.

The conference was initiated by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and united the voices of the representatives of governmental structures of Ukraine, the EU, the U.S., and Canada, as well as more than 500 private companies from over 30 countries worldwide. All united to continue an open discussion of rebuilding the economy and the energy sector of Ukraine.

The UWEA actively participates in the event. The UWEA representatives focus on discussing the role of renewable energy in rebuilding the energy sector of Ukraine both while the war continues, and after the victory is achieved. Many guests who visit our booth express a deep interest in the Ukraine wind power market. The results of all the meetings that we have with representatives from different European companies and organizations – already partners or newcomers – underscore the readiness of the European companies to contribute to Ukraine’s power sector recovery and greening.

The Ukrainian high-level delegation was headed by Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko. In his opening speech, Herman Halushchenko highlighted the role of energy independence from the aggressor state, and the role of energy independence from fossil fuels – both as a security and as an environmental tool to strengthen the energy grid of every state. To create an energy-independent market in Ukraine, our country’s energy infrastructure must be rebuilt based on renewable energy sources.

Andriy Konechenkov, Chairman of the UWEA Board: “Restoring Ukraine’s energy system is impossible without attracting investments. Ukraine should create transparent, attractive conditions for foreign investors. This event provided an opportunity to meet with many leading companies and organizations, primarily from the EU, that are committed to actively participating in the reconstruction of our country.”
