White Paper "Offshore Wind Power and Green Hydrogen: Discovering New Limits of Ukraine's Generating Capacity"
The White Paper “Offshore Wind Energy and “Green” Hydrogen: Opening New Frontiers of Ukraine’s Energy Capacity” was initiated and prepared by the UWEA in cooperation with the law firm Asters, the Ukrainian Hydrogen Council, and the Institute of Renewable Energy of the NAS of Ukraine.
The publication is intended for top management of companies participating in the Ukrainian energy market, as well as a wider circle of readers interested in the development of alternative energy and decarbonization of the economy in Ukraine.
The White Paper analyzes the potential for offshore wind energy development in Ukraine, as well as the use of wind energy for the production of “green” hydrogen. The authors of the publication provide convincing arguments in favor of the development of this energy sector and propose changes to legislative regulation that would facilitate the attraction of investments in offshore wind energy and the production of “green” hydrogen.
The development of offshore wind energy technology and the production of “green” hydrogen are directly related to strengthening Ukraine’s energy independence and the fight against global warming. This White Paper is the result of cooperation between leading national experts and is the first Ukrainian-language analytical study of the potential of these promising areas of energy development in Ukraine.
