The international WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 exhibition has come to an end after four intensive days, bringing together more than 43,000 participants from over 100 countries. Once again, Hamburg became a meeting point for technology manufacturers, energy companies, investors, public-sector representatives and international organisations shaping the future of wind energy.
For Ukraine, the exhibition was an important platform to showcase the potential of the Ukrainian wind energy market, develop international partnerships, and explore new opportunities for the recovery and further development of the sector.
This year, Ukrainian wind energy was represented at the exhibition by a delegation of more than 100 representatives of Ukrainian companies.
The central meeting point for Ukrainian business was the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA) stand – B1.OG.410, where meetings, negotiations and discussions on the prospects for wind energy development in Ukraine took place throughout all four days. For UWEA, WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 was not only an opportunity to present the Ukrainian sector, but also to establish new professional contacts and engage companies interested in the development of Ukrainian wind energy in a broader dialogue. We hope to welcome new UWEA members in the near future.
An important feature of the UWEA stand was, as always, the digital catalogue of Ukrainian companies, featuring such well-known Ukrainian businesses as DTEK Renewables, Wind Parks of Ukraine, TAD, Katzenbach and Partners, LCF Law Group, UDP Renewables, CMS Ukraine, Friendly Wind Technology, SPP Development Ukraine, MCL Group, Elementum Energy, ENERPROF, Crane Ukraine, Altelaw&Sempra, Nota Energy and Intelligent Development UA. The catalogue attracted considerable interest, and we look forward to seeing new contacts and business communications develop for these companies in the near future.
This year, Ukraine was represented not only at the UWEA national stand. Negabarit-Service and Trancom also had their own exhibition stands. The UWEA Secretariat visited the Ukrainian companies to support their presence and help strengthen their international business contacts.
Throughout the exhibition, the UWEA team held a series of meetings with representatives of international and Ukrainian companies, potential partners and other market stakeholders. In addition, Ivan Bondarchuk, Deputy Chairman of the UWEA Board, took part in a podcast by the US-based consulting company Hamer Environmental, where he discussed the current state of Ukraine’s wind energy sector and its prospects for further development.
Another highlight was the traditional UWEA Evening held during WindEnergy Hamburg 2026, bringing together members, partners and friends of the Association. This year’s event was supported by LCF Law Group. Guests were welcomed by Vitaliy Remeliev, Consul General of Ukraine in Hamburg. We sincerely thank the Consulate General of Ukraine in Hamburg for its support of representatives of the Ukrainian wind energy market.
Andrii Konechenkov, Chairman of the UWEA Board, also gave the Consul General a tour of WindEnergy Hamburg 2026. During the meeting, they discussed the importance of supporting Ukrainian businesses, strengthening international cooperation, and creating conditions to protect and attract investment into the recovery of Ukraine’s energy sector.
Today, the energy transition is not only about reducing emissions and developing new technologies. It is also about energy independence, resilience and security. Wind energy is becoming an important part of this transition. Successful development of the sector requires long-term predictability, international cooperation, access to investment, and coordinated action by governments and businesses.
WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 once again demonstrated that the future of energy is shaped where technology, business and international cooperation come together.
